Hello from INK

January 24, 2020

Hello, we are the new class journalists, also known as INK. Our responsibility is to write the blog each week! Hope you like it.

‘What is the point of life if death always comes?’ Was the juicy question this week in philosophy.

Our stimulus this week was a video by Richard Dawkins “We are all going to die,and that makes us the lucky ones.” Everyone was very interested and had multiple points of view. After the session everyone was very intrigued to find out more.

Snuggle with a story was a calm way to start a very productive week of hard work and learning.

We enjoyed sharing stories together and everyone had a great time reading about all sorts of things. Although only a few parents came everybody got a few new words to mention in their Darwin diary’s.

During a Mandarin lesson we prepared some dragons for Chinese new year! Did you know that this year is the year of the rat?

Everybody had a lot of fun, but it was a bit of a challenge colouring all the paper plates by hand!

Next week:

  • Assessment week
  • More tag rugby
  • Writing about the unsung hero of evolution

This week’s pages for power Maths: Consolidate using pages 29 – 59 if you have not completed these already (with a particular focus on long multiplication/division in preparation for next week).

This weeks maths sheets Ratio and Scaling
