It’s been a sparkling start to the new school year as Year 6 children began their learning. We’ve started to look at our topic ‘To Victory?’ which will centre around World War 2. Children have been using the Learning Street for the first time and we look forward to growing this together.
Working as a team, children created this display, which links to our text this half term – Letters from the Lighthouse, by Emma Carroll. We will be using the text in our reading and writing sessions and children are very welcome to bring in their own copy to study, if they have the book.
Our creative side continued to thrive as we worked with Mrs Smith (our new Art specialist) for the first time. We created drawings of evacuee’s toys and suitcases and these are on display in the art room for everyone to see.
Finally, we were treated to a special assembly from Google. Check out the Internet Legends website to find out more.
