Year Six Scientists stop by Sartorius Stedim

November 29, 2019

Our Science project in collaboration with Biotech firm Sartorius Stedim culminated in a fantastic trip to their facilities this week. The children worked in collaboration, tackling hands-on challenges with great thoughtfulness and enthusiasm. Mrs Bullen-Smith has been telling everyone how Year 6 were a real credit to the school; we are vry grateful to her for organising.

On top of this, our volcano learning has been coming on well. We built an Icelandic volcano model and are currently writing newspaper articles about the recent eruptions of Mount Merapi (the real-life volcano from our guided reading text).

Mixed in with this, Year 6 have also been honing their quizzing skills, to a mixed response…!

Next week

  • Snuggle with a Story (Wednesday, 2:45-3:10)
  • Family Friday (8:30 – 9:00)
  • Winterfest (Friday afterschool)
